Mark Diesvelt Partner and Director of Business Development for Wellness Functional Foods International Inc.

Mark DiesveltMark Diesvelt

Born in 1961 in Canada, Mark trained and apprenticed as a chef in Vancouver. In 1982, Mark owned and operated West Coast catering, a company that provided catering services to clients with specific needs and dietary restrictions.

In 1986, Mark founded Healthy Homes of Canada Ltd, a company that focused on healthy home construction and healthy home interior finishes. The company worked with clients with environmental sensitivities and with people who were trying to avoid the use of conventional, chemically toxic, construction practices and interior finishes. Healthy Homes also worked with product manufacturers to advise and promote safe and health-conscious products for the home and home construction industry.

Mark established Innoventure Consultants Ltd, in 1989, and continued his work
providing companies with expertise in the research and promotion of health
awareness products. Innoventure became heavily involved in the organic food
sector, assisting conventional processors in converting product lines to
meet the certification requirements for processed organic foods.

Innoventure (IVC) expanded its area of expertise to include Functional
Foods. IVC currently provides consulting services to many companies
involved in both the functional-foods and organics-foods sectors. Starting in
2000, Innoventure embraced the internet to assist in the marketing
of its clients, businesses and products. Fueled by a wave of client demand, IVC acquired the expertise required to specialize in the development of advanced internet business strategies.

Mark's hobby, first and foremost, is finding sources of nutritious & healthy foods
for use in his home kitchen. Mark enjoys the outdoors with interests in
cross country running, skiing, windsurfing, cycling, racquetball and golf.
Mark also enjoys traveling, reading and exploring new restaurants.
